Help Florida Storm Players get to London.

Florida Storm is working diligently to create a competitive team to bring to the 2008 Gay World Soccer Championship in London, England this August.  In addition to training twice a week, players are dieting, exercising on their own, and saving their pennies.  Many are working extra hours at their jobs to help prepare for their costs.

With the US dollar taking a big hit, Florida Storm Players will be facing the most expensive trip of our five year history.  With the US dollar being so weak, the players’ hard earned money will need to be stretched.

The least expensive hotel identified by the London organizing committee is about $170 per night (the tournament is a 7 day tournament), and the flights are running over a $1,000.  Considering tournament registration, food, local transportation, and other necessary incidentals, the costs per player will exceed $2,000 (over $40,000 for the entire team.)

Help us proudly represent South Florida in this international championship tournament.
