Florida Storm Soccer, Inc. is a non-profit, gay-friendly organization that provides an opportunity to play soccer in a positive and friendly environment. Membership is open to everyone and the team does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, gender, color, religion, national origin, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
Local Objectives
Continue to provide a fun environment to play soccer in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Maintain communication with team participants and supporters through email and the team website (www.FloridaStormSoccer.com).
Continue to grow team membership through the use of the internet, posters, word of mouth and promotional activities.
Be an active participant and contributor to the South Florida gay community.
National/International
Compete in the annual International Gay & Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) World Championships
The 2008 Championship will be in London, England Over 1,000 participants expected Recent tournaments have been held in San Fransisco, Boston, Sydney, London, Cologne Kopenhagen and Buenos Aires.
Recent tournaments have been held in San Francisco (Gold), Boston (Gold - II), Chicago (Silver), Copenhagen (Bronze) and Buenos Aires.
To participate in other gay-friendly tournaments sponsored by IGLFA teams, including New York and Atlanta.
